Sickly baby Kate & The Dove Festival

What a great day we had yesterday!! It started with a friend of mine, Monica, and her four girls ages six, five, three, and 11 months. They came over for a play date. Then, we went to my friend Lisa's son, Aaron's first birthday party. After that we went with the Few's and the Whatley's to The Woodlands annual Lighting of the Doves festival. The Whatley's are sponsors of the event and so we got the royal treatment at the festival. The kids got to go down the snow slide a million times and the adults feasted on food and beverages at the sponsors tent. The weather was just about perfect! Baby Kate didn't join us because of her lingering illness that her brother so graciously shared with her! Poor thing. She stayed with her Gigi. What an easy babysitting job that was. She was asleep when I left her at around 12:45 and woke up twenty minutes before we got back at 4:45 pm. She really wasn't feeling well. At my mom's house my brother and his wife showed up with my baby niece and we ate, played Scattergories (sp?), and chatted until "little foot big cheek" gave us all the signs that it was her bedtime. What an impromptu fun time at Sue's!!

Kate awoke at 5:15 am, ofcourse woke her brother. So, I made a fire (our first one this winter) and now she's asleep. Ethan is drawing and the twins are watching cartoons. We will have a lazy day today!
